About

Born and bred in Lewisham, London I began sewing and making my own patterns as a young teenager in the 80's. I studied at both Croydon College and Ravensbourne School of Fashion and landed my first job at 22 years old as a Junior Designer with a manufacturer in the West End.. and loved it!

Seeing young women and girls like me, walking down Oxford Street in central London wearing clothes that I had designed for shops like Miss Selfridge and Top Shop was amazing!

My love of pattern cutting, lines, fit, shape and structure has been the mainstay of my life and I've been lucky enough to work and collaborate with some great people, from established high end brands to high street shops, independent labels, young designers, factories and manufacturers.

In 2012 I founded The White Room shop, a unique design-hub based in Brockley, south east London, for people wanting to develop their skills in fashion-led clothesmaking.
