ABOUT ME

Born in SE London, I trained at Croydon College of Design and Technology, and Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication.

I began my career in the late 1980's as a Junior Designer-Pattern Cutter in Central London, for an established high street manufacturer, quickly seeing my collections on display in the windows of the main fashion stores at the time including Top Shop, Miss Selfridge and H&M.

In 2012 I founded The White Room SE4, a unique design-hub based in Brockley, south east London, for people wanting to develop their skills in fashion-led clothes making.

My love of pattern cutting, lines, fit, shape and structure has been a lifelong passion. I have worked and collaborated with some great people, from established high end brands to high street shops, independent labels, young designers, factories and manufacturers.

I am passionate about sustainability and minimising waste during the process of design development and garment manufacture.

Current clients include long standing relationships established throughout my career, alongside new brands and companies that reach out to me.
